I hate NFTs and not from a gaming perspective but from all the companies who steal people their art/gamedev tools and sell it as there own.

I thought for the first time that even though I hate NFTs the idea of collecting stuff in a game and making some money with is cool till the mentioned.

Entry fees for game modes(imagine pay with tokens in order to play a match.), tournaments(yup they are not about skill just about mindlessly investing tokens.) and player housing?

It sounds like a to good to be true story and the devs do anything to prohibit gamers from seeing it.

That's it, easy way to not buy the game or even trust the dev.

Unfortunately, Ubisoft dipped their toes in the water into NFTs mixed with video games and we are going to see more and more of this shit. I do not trust NFTs because people are not trustworthy. There is no moderation of how these markets operate, and it will ultimately result in a massive legal battle before too much longer.

This is why I’ve been subscribed for 3 years. Big Fry gives NO fucks😂😂. NFTs have no place in gaming, and to hell with this company for trying to hide it and get you a copyright strike.

Gamedev here. When gunzilla popped up, they did some aggressive recruiting, which immediately felt a bit off to me. Then they post that trailer (which was not very convincing tbh), with thousands of comment bots. And now this. Ngl, I don't think they will be around for long

Does anyone know the actual law(s) surrounding a situation like this? I was under the impression that once something hits public domain (regardless of how it got there) then its free game.

What is it with these induhviduals not understanding this? Walking back statements and hiding information that they previously made public does not grant them the right to make everyone else shut up and not report on it. If this was how the world worked, Trump would have been able to send a thousand angry mobs to storm the Capitol building and rewrite the narrative every single time to say he never incited any of them.

You don't get to make a statement on one day, pretend it didn't happen later and threaten anyone reporting on it. That's a violation of freedom of speech and freedom of the press. It's no different to the crap that Digital Homicide put Jim Sterling through, or what the idiots behind Day One Garry's Incident tried to pull on Total Biscuit. It's petty, it's vindictive, it's immoral, unethical, and not fucking legal.

Any abuse of the DMCA on a news media site would be an act of perjury. That carries some very serious legal consequences if it ever gets to a court of law. Team Gunzilla Games are playing an extremely dangerous game here. No one wants to be the test case for how DMCA abuse on YouTube would be handled if it got to court. At least, no one with a sane mind. But as we saw with the whole Alex Mauer saga that Sid Alpha covered a couple of years ago, it's clear that there are plenty of unstable people who choose to actively disregard the law for any number of reasons.

That has to change.

Instead of dodgy devs threatening channels, maybe they should focus on making a legit product and creators wouldn’t make critical videos starring them.
